Welcome to the Creative Arts for Home and Hobby (CAHH) website. I am Barbara Thomas, the Director for CAHH, located in the Richards Building on the Sussex County Fairground during the News Jersey State Fair, Sussex County Farms and Horse Show. The Fair starts on Friday, July 31, 2026 and the last day is Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10 p.m. The website has been updated so check out the contests for this year. There are a few changes. Please remember to read the General Rules. One of the biggest changes is picking up ribbons for baking contests (ie Baking, Cheesecake, Cookies, etc.) after the contest is over. All the information is in the General Rules.
The Fair will be celebrating a few milestones at the Fair:
The 50th Anniversary of the Fair being at 37 Plains Road, Augusta
The 90th Anniversary of the Horse Show
The 250th Anniversary of the USA
CAHH is adding a few more displays/contests, with a patriotic theme:
Red, White and Blue Apron for display only. (no fee) Category No. 4071. There is a separate Flyer and Entry Form for this display.
A special Patriotic Cupcake Contest on Monday, August 3, 2026 (no fee) Category No. 4081. There is a separate Flyer and Entry Form for this contest.
Patriotic Decorated Cookies has been added to the Baking Contest, Thurs, Aug 6, 2026, Category 2024.

The other fun things we are doing at CAHH, is our Make and Take Event on Sunday, August 2, 2026 and our Chopstick Knitting and Blindfold Crochet on Saturday, August 8, 2026. These events are very popular and are free!!!
